About

As the Manager of Content Strategy for the poverty-fighting nonprofit CARE, one of the world’s largest INGOs, I successfully designed and launched an integrated and scalable global content strategy to optimize engagement, grow CARE’s supporter network, and build local capacity for story gathering. I manage a global team of staff and contractors; oversee planning, creation and curation of content for all of CARE USA’s digital venues, and collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including fundraising, advocacy, and program teams, country office staff, and the Office of the President to drive overall supporter engagement.

In December 2017, I helped lead strategy and execution of the Dream With Her video campaign, which became CARE’s most successful video campaign at the time. CARE’s March 2018 advocacy campaign #ThisIsNotWorking generated a record number of petitions for CARE in support of an end to gender-based violence at work.

Prior to CARE, I spent more than a decade working as a journalist, including four years as editor-in-chief of an award-winning multimedia newsroom. I have experience as a reporter, writer, editor, public speaker, and project manager. My writing and editing have appeared in a number of publications including The Guardian, Atlanta Magazine, Creative Loafing, ArtsATL, Fodor’s Travel, and Art Papers, among others. I am the author of Wallpaper* City Guide – Atlanta (2012), a guide to Atlanta focusing on the city’s artistic, cultural, design and architectural highlights. I also speak French and spent some time in Périgueux, France, as a high school English teacher.
